Inspired to immortalise the creative brilliance of legendary singer, Marvin Gaye, Nigeria’s budding act, Surebanty has released a brand new single titled ‘Sexual Healing.’

In a chat with Simply SAMAD, the singer explained that his decision to dedicate a song to the Marvin Gaye was born out of his respect for the late singer as well as his immense contribution to music.

“I recently arrived at the decision to immortalise the musical legend, Marvin Gaye by doing an African version of his chart-breaking single ‘Sexual Healing’ with a large dose of Nigerian dialect infused in the song.

The presence of talking drums in this single further gives it an ‘Afrocentric’ appeal. I want people to understand that what I have in mind is to use this version of the song to bring peace into Nigerian homes.

This is the kind of song that engenders happy homes and is used a healing balm for couples.”

Surebanty acknowledges the level of controversy that trailed the life of Marvin Gaye as well as his music and noted that these are some of reason he stands out globally as a respected artiste.
