A Short Message to President Jonathan and Nigerians

A friend just sent in a very short yet critical message and I thought sharing it with you would help us all understand a bit more how much human lives are valued all over the world.

"Can this happen in my country?
South Korean Prime Minister Chung Hong-won announced his immediate resignation Sunday morning on national television, taking responsibility for the slow initial response to the ferry accident and apologizing to victims' families.
Rescuers have so far retrieved 187 bodies. An additional 115 people remain missing."

Just like the author of the message asked, can such a thing happen in Nigeria?
