Bobzee Steps in With a Voice From The Streets

With a bag loaded with raw talent and his heart in the streets, budding act, Olabode Pipi also known in music circles as Bobzee arrives with a fresh single titled ‘Oju Eje.’

The track was produced by Black jersey and has been considered by critics to be a rebel’s anthem with a pulsing call to action and hypnotic back beat.

Bobzee’s new single hops off the stable of Jassy Generation Pictures while a music video is expected to drop soon as at the time of writing this.

The talented act was born Surulere in the late 90's and one of his initial slangs that couldn’t stay off the lips of friends and early fans was his popular line ‘Alakwa.’

He grew up amongst family members, friends, neighbours and relatives and peers in prep school.
His musical career kicked off in his teens when he started rolling with up and coming talented acts in his hood to perform at street shows as well as clubs.

His Surulere Cyfer collaboration, which dropped in 2013 and enjoyed a good spell on the social media space, also did well on the streets of Surulere and neighbouring Local Government Areas.

In his quest for an ultimate spring into limelight, he began recording his Demos with popular producers including the like of Samklef, Dwiz, Black Jersey and a host of other underground producers.

He also participated in the Gidi Culture Festival’s ‘Flow With the Beat’ competition where he recorded his own version of the soundtrack produced by Maleek Berry and was picked amongst the 3 finalist to perform on stage at the festival.

Bobzee came out tops at the finale by shutting it down with a massive response from the crowd with his indigenous rap freestyle.

Bobzee also featured as a cameo in the recent video by Reminisce featuring Sossick from the ‘Alaga Ibile’ album and song titled ‘Turn it Around.’

The gifted rapper also considers himself a performer, songwriter and producer.
