Mixed Reactions Trail Sunny Neji's Return

Coming on the heels of the arrival of talented recording artiste, Sunny Neji's single titled Zankaliwa, fans and critics have taken different sides on the appeal, strength and quality of music churned out by 'Mr. Fantastic' crooner.

The legendary Highlife king who received rave reviews for the spirit of bonding he whipped up with his smash hit single, 'One North One Love,' staged a return into the scene with his 'Zankaliwa' tune.

Sunny Neji is a house hold name in Highlife music and the industry as a whole and his impact and contribution over the years has never come under the radar of doubt especially when smash hits like 'Oruka,' 'Ikebe,' 'Lovi Dovi,' and 'Abosede' take centre stage.

While some might argue that the latest addition from the highlife icon does not fall short of expectations compared to the standard of music Sunny Neji is known for, others have dared to take a conflicting stand.
In the song, Sunny Neji sings: “Na the way you dey zankaliwa make I zankaliwa eh... You give me heat when everywhere chilli chilli chilli..."

While a fan, Kudygold said, "Nice song but something is missing to make it a great song," another fan fired, "Even those whom the music industry expect to get hope from have embraced 'pangolo' (trashy) music.. Zankaliwa - Are you from Congo or Cameroon?" Another case in reference in this episode of mixed reactions was when another fan, ray said: "Amazing stuff. Sunny Neji, I salute" whereas a fan yet to listen to the song took a swipe at the singer by saying, "This strikes me as funny. I haven't even listened to the song but I can't help saying 'Chivita money don finish."
