Police Arrest Suspected Boko Haram Spy in Jos

POLICE sources said on Monday that men of the Plateau State police command arrested a suspected  spy for the terrorist Islamic sect,  Boko Haram, while spying on policemen on parade at the Mobile Police Barracks, Sector 8, in Jos, Plateau State.
The arrest of the unnamed middle-aged suspect followed recent complaints by members of the public over the existence of some strangers said to be parading in parts of Jos and Bukuru metropolis.

PUNCH gathered that the suspect was arrested on Monday while spying on some policemen at parade rehearsals in preparation for the pulling-out ceremony of the state police commissioner, Mr. Chris Olakpe.

Police sources said the presence of the suspect near the parade ground raised the suspicion of those on parade and when the policemen attempted to interrogate the young man, he took to his heels.
