Arsenal fear Giroud could be sidelined for three months

Arsenal might be on the hunt to replace Olivier Giroud before the transfer window closes as the Daily Telegraph is reporting that the club fears he could end up missing as much as three months if "a second scan confirms he has a broken ankle."

The fact that he was sent for two scans is not exactly a good sign, so there is some panic it might be more serious than initially believed.

"In the final minute he stretched his ankle," manager Arsene Wenger said after Sunday's draw at Everton. "At the moment it doesn't look too good."
