Cossy Orjiakor harps on responsible parenting

Controversial Nollywood actress and singer, Cossy Orjiakor has tasked parents to be more attentive to their responsibilities as parents and guardians to their wards.

The singer went an extra mile by recommending a way to deal with parents and guardians who have over the years, developed a knack for failing in their responsibilities to their wards and children.

In a very straight-forward message, Cossy said, “If a spouse neglects his or her duties to a child. It's free. Go to the Mediation Court. To think I dreaded courts before now" and rounded off her message laughing
Cossy Orjiakor had earlier raised an alarm over what she considered a gross case of child abuse.

She explained that the neighbour in question allegedly beats their 10-year-old house-girl in a way she considered extremely abusive.

The actress recently revealed that she had a tenant in her Lekki home who had been threatening her over a period of time and another who slapped her.

Sharing the photo of the battered girl online, Cossy sparked a wave of response from her friends and fans.
"Child abuse - I took this picture now. This is the house girl of Mr. and Mrs. Shola Akapo. My tenants who slapped me last week... This house girl has muscles like a gym instructor. She also has plenty tattoos from ‘Koboko’ used on her by the Madam. Child abuse - She is just 10 years old," said Cossy.
