Liverpool Agree to Fee for Mario Balotelli

He's coming back. Mario Balotelli is on the verge of returning to the Premier League.

The BBC's Ben Smith reports Liverpool and AC Milan have agreed to a £16 million fee for the 24-year-old striker.

Though Liverpool and Balotelli have yet to agree to personal terms, that matter is expected to be sorted out in the coming days.

AC Milan released a statement on their website that indicated Balotelli's time with the club was over.

"Mario Balotelli left Milanello's sporting centre at 13:30 local time, after saying goodbye to his team-mates," it read.

"Before leaving the premises, the striker has said goodbye to members of Milan's press office."

Balotelli replaces Luis Suarez, who left Liverpool for Barcelona this summer.

If contract matters are sorted in time, Balotelli could feature for Liverpool when they travel to Etihad Stadium for their match against his former club, Manchester City, on Monday.
